Softball Manitoba is excited to announce the athletes who will be advancing to the Top 18 of the Team Manitoba Softball Canada Summer Games tryouts. The players will be training over the next 15 months as they prepare for the 2025 Canada Summer Games being held in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador from August 8-16, 2025.
Dwight Heppner (Head Coach) and Sarah Shotton (Assistant Coach) started this process close to seven months ago at ninety-one athletes. The level of talent in our province is impressive and getting it down to 18 athletes was incredibly difficult. A big thank you goes out to the volunteers who assisted in running efficient evaluations, and to the selection committee for their hours spent evaluating and providing input over the last seven months.
Heppner and Shotton are extremely excited about our strong pitching staff, deep and versatile defense, and well-rounded offensive capabilities. With continued hard work and dedication over the next 14 months, Team Manitoba will be prepared to do some damage at the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
Congratulations again to the athletes below and we wish you the best of luck!
