Respect in Sport

All coaching staff are required to have a valid Respect in Sport Certificate within the last 5 years.
Convenient online certification for coaches and sport leaders
Sport Manitoba Coaching believes in being proactive in ensuring sport in our province is safe and welcoming for all participants. Respect in Sport (RiS), which has been a mandated program for all Manitoba coaches since 2007, helps us promote those values.
The Respect in Sport curriculum consists of seven modules and takes approximately 80 minutes to complete. It can be completed in one or multiple sittings. There is no examination component. Once the course has been completed, a certificate verifying completion is generated. Coaches completing the Respect in Sport certification will be tracked through the Respect in Sport database, and each sport will have access to this database to determine if their registered coaches have completed the course.
Coaches will need to complete the course once every five years or less, depending on mandates from National Sport Organizations, even if they coach in multiple sports.
Within these programs, you have the options to register, recertify, import your certificate, look up your certificate number, or edit your profile and select which sports you are coaching.
