FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 20, 2025
Softball Manitoba is excited to announce the final roster for the 2025 Canada Summer Games Female Softball Team. The countdown is on as the team prepares for the 2025 Canada Summer Games being held in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador from August 8-16, 2025.
Dwight Heppner (Head Coach) and Sarah Shotton (Assistant Coach) started this process in fall of 2023 with ninety-one athletes. The level of talent in our province is impressive and getting it down to a final roster of 15 athletes was incredibly difficult.
Heppner and Shotton are extremely excited about our strong pitching staff, deep and versatile defense, and well-rounded offensive capabilities. With continued hard work and dedication over the next 6 months, Team Manitoba will be prepared to do some damage at the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
Congratulations again to the athletes and we wish you the best of luck!
