UPDATE: Softball Manitoba Policy on Sanctioned & Non-Sanctioned Minor Softball Programs

Mar. 01, 2024

Softball Manitoba, in consultation with our membership, have reviewed the policy pertaining to participation in non-sanctioned softball programming during the softball season.

During these discussions it was determined that protecting the integrity of programs offered by Softball Manitoba and our affiliated teams and organizations is important, there is value in allowing the impacted teams and organizations to decide the impact that a player or coach participating in a non-sanctioned event or program would have on individual teams.

As a result of these discussions the policy has been updated to allow individual teams or organizations to grant players or coaches a release to participate in a non-sanctioned softball program between the period of April 1 to August 31 of each year.

The Board of Directors at Softball Manitoba encourage our affiliated teams, leagues and associations to share this update with their players, coaches and managers in order to ensure they have the information necessary to make an informed decision regarding participation in non-sanctioned softball activities during this and future seasons.
