The mission of Softball Manitoba is to promote and develop softball at all levels, by providing leadership, programs and services to meet the needs of all participants, thus enhancing the profile of softball in Manitoba.
Incorporated May 18th, 1965, the Manitoba Softball Association, also known as Softball Manitoba, is the recognized Sport Governing Body for Fast Pitch (including orthodox) and Slo-pitch Softball within the Province of Manitoba, and is a member of Softball Canada, the National Sport Governing Body for Softball.
Softball Manitoba is a non-government, non-profit organization financed through contributions from Sport Manitoba, private sector sponsorship and membership fees, and is administered by men and women who volunteer their time and skills in the interest of the sport. Nine elected Directors representing the interests of the Minors, Adult and Officials Divisions within the Association. A four-member Advisory Board is also elected to provide guidance and support to the Association's programs.
Membership in the Association is open to all softball leagues and associations as approved by the Directors of the Association. All affiliated players, coaches, managers, umpires, league officials and other interested persons (as approved by the Board) are considered members of The Manitoba Softball Association whether they be voting or non-voting members. Membership is valid for one year (from April 1st to March 31st of the following year).
